This exhibition journeys through the work of Eduardo Sanabria, EDO, a Venezuelan artist residing in Miami. EDO’s work is based on pop culture, on the anecdotal, the familiar, and on cultural identity. His personal style is characteristic and instantly recognizable.
It is only fitting that this exhibition being presented during Hispanic Heritage month would have a Latino and Caribbean flavor. EDO’s colors and discourse have much of that Hispanicness that characterizes the Latino. The shapes and bright colors utilized impact all those who have the privilege of experiencing his art. The theme “Venezuela” is present in this exhibition, as well as the new series of EDO, “Influencers 2020”. You can also see his work “Todas Las Salsas”, which is a tribute to all the Latinos who made this Caribbean music genre popular. Each of EDO’s works must be evaluated with much care and attention. They are topics of conversation. We can spend hours evaluating and discovering details in them that the artist gives us so that we can discover them together with him.
