Rachel's Challenge exists to inspire and equip every person to create a permanent positive change not only in themselves, but in their schools, their businesses and communities.

Over 1.5 million people are involved in Rachel’s Challenge programs.
More than 1,200 schools and businesses are reached.
Over 150 suicides are averted.
Bullying and violence decrease.
Community service and acts of kindness increase.

Morning and Afternoon Sessions: 4/18 or 4/19 at either 9:00 AM or 1:30 PM (each session is scheduled to last approximately two hours).

Presenter Bios:



Larry is Rachel’s uncle. His two teenagers were present at Columbine High School the day of the shooting. Larry has spoken to tens of thousands of people in live settings as well as on numerous television broadcasts. Larry’s warm and caring personality effectively communicates Rachel’s message of kindness and compassion.

Marie GumaMARIE G. GUMA, PsyD (ABD)

Marie is a well-known and experienced professional in the substance abuse community in South Florida. She began her career providing psychological therapy to the underprivileged youth in Miami-Dade County where she worked in collaboration with the Dependency Court as she provided individual therapy to foster children and parents who lost their parenting rights (permanent and temporarily) due to allegations of abuse or neglect. Her passion in making a difference in her clients' life, lead her to become an advocate volunteer. She has spent years building relationships nationally in the substance abuse field and has created a name for herself due to her professionalism, ethics, experience and passion.
